There’s something really satisfying and beautiful about a field that is growing food. It doesn’t matter whether it is shoulder-high corn stalks, golden wheat waving in the breeze, or rows and rows of a giant pumpkin patch. This freshly-cut alfalfa is drying and waiting to be baled. Farms are pretty impressive things. As one of my favorite country songs says, “Tear down some two lane country who knows, Get lost and get right with my soul” That’s what driving through the country/through nature does for me, it helps me get right with my soul.
